Edna (Godwin) Ramsey

Mrs. Edna G. Ramsey, 83, of Morriston, passed away on Friday, March 9, 2018, at Haven E.T. York Care Center in Gainesville.  A native of Ocala, she had lived her entire life in the Marion County area.

Mrs. Ramsey worked as the manager for many years at Lerner’s Department Store downtown on the Square in Ocala.  After the store moved to the Mall, she went to work for Publix in the deli department, first at 40 East, and later at The Shops at Foxwood.  She loved gardening, and she was well known for her love for feeding animals, everything from wild birds to donkeys.  She regularly attended Meadowbrook Church in Ocala.

Survivors include her husband Paul, her son Donald Kain, daughters Diane K. Jones and Joetta Weeks (Tim), her sister Etta Markham (Walter), 7 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Memorial services for Mrs. Ramsey will be held at 10 AM Tuesday, March 13, 2018, at Living Waters Worship Center, 3801 N. US Hwy 441, Ocala, with Rev. Randy Watson officiating.
