Elaine Carter

Mrs. Elaine Carter, 69, of Dunnellon, passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2016, in Ocala.  Mrs. Carter was a lifelong resident of Dunnellon.  She was a graduate of Dunnellon High School, and received her AA from Central Florida Community College.  She served as Music Director for First United Methodist Church in Dunnellon for many years, and later served in that same capacity at St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church in Inverness.  She also played the organ for many years at First Baptist Church in Dunnellon as well as at Roberts Funeral Home in Dunnellon.  She is survived by her daughter Cindi Rankin, her son Brian Carter, her grandchildren Haley, Savannah, Hayden, Katherine, Ben, and Brandon, as well as her great granddaughter Hannah.  Mrs. Carter was preceded in death by her husband Ben Carter in 2002.  Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2016, at 2 PM, at First United Methodist Church in Dunnellon, with Rev. Eddie Fulford and Rev.
