In Loving Memory of Elizabeth Ann Pallesen, age 88, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2024, in Ocala, Florida. Born on September 4, 1936, in Brooklyn, New York, Elizabeth lived a life full of love, adventure, and devotion.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert D. Sr.; her parents, Elizabeth and Paul; and her twin sisters, Mary and Catherine.
Elizabeth is survived by her brother, Thomas; her six children: Kevin (Josephine), Robert D. Jr. (Iona), Laurie, Keith (Beth), Malulani (Jim), and Leilani (Ty); her twelve grandchildren: Matthew (Angie), Amber (Cory), Elizabeth (Paula), Rebecca, Keith (Joan), Tasheana (Thomas), Emalee, Saxton, Brierly, Ivan (Maria), Iris (Crystal), and Isiah; and her 23 great-grandchildren: Matthew, Chyler, Ayanna, Taurean, Elizabeth, Audianna, Ava, Aylynn, Kaleb, Aylanna, Kayden, David, Makaya, Catherine, Kailee, Avery, Killian, Memphis, Ciera, Mateo, Marcos, Dallas, and Matthew.
A devout Catholic and a loving wife for 55 years, Elizabeth cherished her faith and her family above all else. She was an adventurous soul with a love for the West, horses, and hot air balloons. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her great-grandchildren. Elizabeth graduated from Mepham High School in Bellmore, New York in 1954 and traveled extensively with her family during her husband’s military service. She settled in Florida in 1988. At 59, she pursued her dream of driving a tractor trailer across the country to see the United States. Upon her return several years later, she became a local school bus driver. Her compassion extended to animals as well, as she was a dedicated rescue mom to many fur babies.
