Ernest Russell Burdette, Jr.

Ernest (Sonny) Russell Burdette, Jr., 84, received his wings on Monday, December 28, 2020, surrounded by his family.  He was born in Berea, Kentucky, on December 9, 1936, to the late Ernest Russell Burdette, Sr., and Gertrude Lewis Burdette.  Sonny was retired from IBM, was a Navy Veteran, and a 32nd degree Mason.  He loved the outdoors, golfing, and traveling.

Sonny is survived by his wife Linda Burdette, his children Debra (Andy) Miller, Cindy Bablitz, Anthony (Sharon) Bradley, Teresa (Johnnie) Bradley, and grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, January 5, 2021, at Roberts Funeral Home, 19939 E. Pennsylvania Avenue, Dunnellon, with the Masons and the United States Navy officiating.

Memorial contributions in his memory may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
