ESTER H. KENNEDY, age 89 of Dunnellon, died Sunday, January 2, 2011 at TimberRidge Health & Rehabilitation Center in Ocala. Mrs. Kennedy was born in Berrytown, Pennsylvania on January 6, 1921 to the late William & Julia (Murray) Horning and moved here in 1975 from Gillett, Pennsylvania. She was a homemaker and Baptist by faith. Survivors include four daughters, Yvonne (Dale) Bradley, Patricia (Clyde) Gilbert, Linda (Robert) Staudt, Janis (Paul) Hall all of Pennsylvania, one brother, Jason Horning, three sisters, Hilda Marks, Marcia Chappell, Nancy Merritt, Several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond E. Kennedy (1996). Memorial contributions are suggested to Hospice of Marion County. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 7, 2011 at 3:00 P.M. from the Roberts Funeral Home, Dunnellon. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2:00 P.M. until the hour of service. Burial will be private at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.
