Eugene O'Donnell

Eugene O’Donnell, 64, of Dunnellon, FL, died Thursday, July 5, 2012 at his residence.  He was born in Warren, Ohio, on January 5, 1948.  He was a U.S. Navy veteran. He graduated from Iona College, New Rochelle, NY and worked as a Plant Manager of a Nuclear Power Plant in Peekskill, NY.  He retired in 2007 and moved to Dunnellon and joined The Florida Fish & Wildlife Association.

He was an avid fisherman and a world traveler, having visited all 7 continents with his brother, Richard.  One of their greatest travel accomplishments was successfully conquering Mt. Kilimanjaro.  He also enjoyed gardening and spending quality time with his Family.

Services are scheduled for 3:00 pm Sunday, July 8, 2012 at The Roberts Funeral Home, Dunnellon with Chaplain Kevin Bryan officiating.  Visitation will be from 1:30 pm until service time at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife, Joan, Dunnellon, Daughters: Jill and husband Dennis McMahon, of Poughkeepsie, NY, Danielle and husband Brian Fried of Clinton Corners, NY, and Sheree and husband Donald Morrison of Marlboro, NY; Step-Daughters: Siobhan McNulty, Forest Hills, NY and Nuala McNulty, San Francisco, CA; Brothers: Richard (Kay) O’Donnell, Warren, OH; Cecil O’Donnell, Warren, OH; Peter O’Donnell, NC; Sister: Kathleen Van Fossen, Port St. Lucie, FL and 8 Grandchildren.
