EUNICE GRANT MITCHELL, age 90, passed gently into the good night on Tuesday May 8, 2012.
Eunice (Sandy) was born in Blue Creek Township, Ohio and lived in the area of Paulding County throughout her childhood. During her adult life, Sandy proudly served in all divisions of the nursing profession after graduating from the Ft. Wayne School of Nursing.
She married Oliver M. Mitchell on May 28, 1955, and lived in Mississippi for over 20 years. In 1992, Oliver and Sandy retired to Florida.
Sandy always enjoyed her work as an RN, arts and crafts, cooking, needlework, and especially spending quality time with her family. She was always cherished by her family, friends, and neighbors.
Sandy is survived by her husband Oliver Morris Mitchell, Citrus County Florida, Daughter: Aimee Claire (Chris) Terrell, Hendersonville, Tennessee, Son: Lance Kevin (Sue) Mitchell, Mooresville, North Carolina, Sister: Lucille (Bob) Muntzinger, Van Wert, Ohio , and Granddaughter: Madison Grant Terrell, Hendersonville, Tennessee. Eunice was predeceased by her parents Loren Dale and Letta Faye (Cryer) Grant of Convoy, Ohio.
Private family services were conducted by Roberts Funeral Home of Dunnellon, Florida. In lieu of flowers the family has requested any memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Florida.
