Filomena Frances (Andrisani) Davis

Frances (Filomena) Andrisani Davis passed away on August  9th, 2013 of natural causes. She died peacefully surrounded by her beloved children. Mrs. Davis was predeceased by her parents, Guiseppi and Rosaria Andrisani, brother Domenico Andrisani, and husband William Davis.

Surviving family includes her three children Nettie Ross, Joseph (Judy) Newman, and Jerome (Pat) Newman; grandchildren Jennifer, Donna, Joseph, James, and John Newman; sister in law Grace Andrisani; nieces Rosanne, Julie, Donna, and nephew Joseph.

Fanny was born at home in Harlem, New York June 20, 1921 and worked for Conde Naste Publications in New York City.  When she retired she moved to Florida with her husband Bill, where she enjoyed Florida living. Fanny was a warm, kind, generous woman with an easy laugh and a great sense of humor. Her family was the most important part of her life, she loved being surrounded by her large Italian family, eating, laughing, and sharing stories. She was an animal lover and especially loved her dogs.

Mrs. Davis developed Alzheimers disease and was lovingly cared for by her devoted daughter Nettie. Fanny had a remarkable spirit and amazed everyone who knew her. She left a wonderful impression on everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. She will be  missed terribly, but is with God in a better place, free from suffering and pain.

The family would like to express our thanks, love, and appreciation to her special niece Rosanne Gesick who provided constant support; Hospice of Marion County; and her many caregivers.

A Memorial Funeral Service, celebrating the Life of Frances (Filomena) Andrisani Davis, will be conducted at the Roberts Funeral Home of Dunnellon on Thursday, August 15, 2013 at 11:00 AM. Father Kevin MacGabhann, St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, will officiate.

The family suggests memorial donations to Hospice of Marion County, P.O. Box 4860, Ocala, Florida. 34478-4860.
