Florence "Peggy" Mabel Mary Giannotti

Ocala

Mrs. Florence “Peggy” Giannotti, 92, of Dunnellon, passed away on Saturday, August 4, 2018, at TimberRidge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born in Cottesmore, England, she met and married Dominick Giannotti in 1944, and was then on the first ship of “war brides” in 1946. Their marriage lasted for 67 years until his death in 2011.  They lived in Rome, NY, where she worked for Revere Copper and Brass Company.  She later worked for G.E., where she worked on electronic circuit boards, some of which were used on the Appolo Moon missions.  They moved to Tampa in 1977, and then retired to Dunnellon in 1986. She belonged to Holy Faith Episcopal Church in Dunnellon.

Survivors include her daughter Elaine Hakken (Kenneth) of Dunnellon, her son David Giannotti (Kathy) of Las Vegas, Nevada, 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

She will be greatly missed.

Visitation for Mrs. Giannotti will be held from 6-8 PM Wednesday, August 8, 2018, at Roberts Funeral Home, 19939 E. Pennsylvania Ave., Dunnellon.  Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Thursday, August 9, at Holy Faith Episcopal Church, 19924 W Blue Cove Dr., Dunnellon, with The Rev. J. James Gerhart officiating.  She will be laid to rest beside her husband Dominick in Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park in Clearwater.  Arrangements are under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home of Dunnellon.
