Florence E. Skrypak

August 1, 1933 — February 25, 2018

Florence (Natalini) Skrypak, 84, of Ocala, Florida, passed away peacefully Sunday, Feb. 25, 2018, at North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville.  Born August 1, 1933 in Pennsylvania, Florence and her family were longtime residents of the Sewickley and Hopewell Township communities in Pittsburgh before retiring to the warmth and sun of Dunnellon (and then Ocala) Florida.  She was the daughter of the late Carmine and Anna Natalini; the loving wife of John Skrypak; and mother of one son, Allen John.  Predeceased by her parents, her husband and her son, Florence is survived by her brother Robert Natalini and his wife Edie, of Belle Vernon, Pa. and many loving nieces, nephews and great-nephews.  Florence graduated Vernon High School in 1951 and attended California State Teacher's College (now California University of Pennsylvania) where she earned her degree in speech pathology in 1955.  For many years, she worked as a Speech and Language Therapist with Laughlin Children's Center in Sewickley helping children challenged with speech and hearing disabilities.  Florence also taught briefly for the Sewickley Public School District earlier in her career.  In her retirement, Florence enjoyed volunteering for local charities.  She also loved walking and playing with her loyal dog Molly, and lunch outings with her friends.  Expressions of sympathy can be left at www.robertsofdunnellon.com.  Memorial donations may be directed to Perpetual Care, P.O. Box 77358 Ocala Florida 34477, or online at www.perpetualcare.org.
