Frank Cassady

December 24, 1924 — July 23, 2015

Mr. Frank Cassady, 90, of Dunnellon, passed away Thursday, July 23, 2015.  A native of Hacoda, AL, he moved to Dunnellon in 1945, coming here from Samson, AL.  Mr. Cassady was a heavy equipment operator and retired from the Manko Phosphate Company.  He proudly served his country in WWII in the US Army.  He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Bettie Sue Cassady, his two daughters, Frances Pumphrey, Altha, FL, and Barbara Ann Bowen (Melvin), Ocala, his sister Corina Crowley, Samson, AL, two grandchildren Michael and Martin (Angela) Bowen, 1 great grandson, Darin Summerlin, and 1 great great grandson, Christopher Summerlin.  He was preceded in death by his granddaughter Jeannie Jerkins.

Funeral services for Mr. Cassady will be held at 2 PM Sunday, July 26, 2015, at Roberts Funeral Home, 19939 E. Pennsylvania Avenue, Dunnellon, with Rev. Russ Randall officiating.  Interment will follow in Dunnellon Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends from 1PM until service time.  Condolence messages may be left at www.robertsofdunnellon.com
