Frederick "Freddie" Eugene Howell

Morriston- Frederick “Freddie” Eugene Howell died January 25, 2016 at home surrounded by his loving family from an extended battle with congestive heart failure. He was 71.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. ET at Harvey Funeral Home in Dawson, GA, with burial to follow in Oakview Cemetery in Albany, GA. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Howell was born January 19, 1945 to Clayton and Athalia McLeod Howell in Dougherty County, GA. He was the sole owner and operator of Howell Motors in Dawson, GA for 26 years. He was a beloved son, brother, husband and father.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clayton Howell and his son, Howard Shannon Howell. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Dawson Howell; his daughter, Cindy Howell (Jeff) Mead of Yucaipa, CA; his mother, Athalia McLeod Howell of Springfield, TN; a brother, Rick (Nancy) Howell of LaFayette, GA; and a sister, Jeana Carubba of Greenbrier, TN; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Active pallbearers will be Adam Dawson, Daniel Dawson, Neal Dawson, Lee Dawson, Joe Arrowood and Otto Land. Honorary pallbearers will be Rob Howell, Ted Summitt and Curtis Johnson.
