Gale D. Caldwell

Gale Caldwell, born December 14, 1936, a resident of Ocala, FL (originally of Ft. Myers, FL), passed away peacefully in the care of hospice in Summerfield, FL, on December 27, 2020. Gale was a lifelong resident of Florida and lived in Ocala during retirement with her husband since 2000. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family and friends. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

She is survived by her husband, Leonard D. Caldwell; sister, Ellen Roan of Ft. Myers, FL; two children, Richard Alan Edwards (Vivian) of Dahlonega, GA, and Teri Hamilton (Russell) of Braselton, GA; four grandchildren, Jeremy Edwards (Kelly),  Joshua Edwards, Rebecca Montgomery (Daniel), and Jacqueline Folsom (Luke); ten great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Gale is preceded in death by her mother, Maude Elise Bartleson; father, Porter Bartleson; and sister, Joan Bartleson Simandl all of Ft. Myers, FL.

Gale was a blessing to everyone she knew, and she will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Alzheimer’s Association in her memory at www.alz.org.
