Gary M. Chapman

Gary Max Chapman, 67, of Morriston, FL went to be with the Lord on Saturday (4/5/2014) in Riverdale, Georgia. Gary was born January 10, 1947 to James Willis and Betsie Marie (Lusk) Chapman in Hendersonville, North Carolina. The family moved to Ft. Lauderdale, FL in 1962 where he lived until he moved to Dunnellon, FL in 1988.

Mr. Chapman was employed with True Value for twenty four years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, fishing, motocross racing, and the mountains of North Carolina.

Gary was preceded in death by his father James Willis Chapman. Surviving family includes his loving wife Patricia Owens Chapman who he married August 13, 1967. In addition, he is survived by daughters Kim Chapman, West Palm Beach, Fl, and Leslie Chapman Scott (Michael), Dunnellon, FL; son Brandon Chapman (Tina), Deltona, FL.; nine grandchildren; mother Betsie Marie (Lusk) Chapman, Hendersonville, N.C.; brothers George William Chapman (Beth) Callahan, FL., Henry Douglas Chapman (Mary Lynn) Gainesville, GA., Joseph Richard Chapman (Cindy), Stuart, FL., Timothy Bryan Chapman, Hendersonville, N.C., and sister Judith Marie Snowden (Fred), Leesburg, VA.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial Celebration of the Life of Gary Max Chapman will be conducted on Sunday (4/27/2014) at the Roberts Funeral Home Chapel, 19939 East Pennsylvania Avenue, Dunnellon, FL (352-489-2429). Reverend Larry Pearson will officiate. Family and friends will visit at the Roberts Funeral Home from 2:00 until servicetime at 4:00 PM

The family prefers, in lieu of flowers, contributions sent to Beauty's Haven Farm and Equine Rescue, Inc., P.O. Box 53, Morriston, FL 32668 in memory of Gary Max Chapman.

Funeral arrangements are under the care of the Roberts Funeral Home of Dunnellon.
