Our beloved friend, father, brother and husband, Gary Schulz slipped from this
world to the next on February 10 of 2013.
Gary was born in October of 1937 to Helen and Kenneth Schulz in Billings, Montana. Gary, the oldest of four children, was a quiet and good-natured man who lead a very full and accomplished life.
Gary’s childhood was spent primarily in Three Forks, Montana, however he left his home at a young age to pursue his dreams that were, most notably, to serve his country. Gary proudly served in the US Military including the U.S. Air Force, the National Guard and the U.S. Navy. His military service led to a career with Bendix Field Engineering Corporation where he contracted with NASA. Gary began his career at a time when computers were first making their debut, and Gary grew with the computer age, becoming a computer guru of sorts. Gary spent most of his 30 years working with NASA as a field engineer, traveling and living in countries all around the world.
Gary’s happiest moments in his retirement included spending time with his family, traveling and developing and maintaining his company webpage. Working for Bendix Field Engineering Corporation endeared Gary to the company, and after retirement he set about creating a web page that chronicled the complete history of the company as well as his service in the U.S. Air Force.
Gary leaves behind his beloved wife of fifty years, Martha Jane as well as his son Scott Schulz, daughter Jodi Schulz, daughter-in-law Karen Schulz, and two grandchildren, Carson Schulz and Cassidy Schulz. Gary also leaves behind his siblings, including Brownie Snyder, Richard Schulz and Donna Schulz as well as many nieces and nephews. Gary will be buried with full Military Honors in Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Wounded Warriors Project in Gary’s name. Condolences may be submitted online to www.robertsofdunnellon.com
