George H. Daniels

Mr. George H. Daniels, 89, of Ocala, passed away on Friday, November 10, 2017, at Legacy Hospice House.

Born in Keene, NH, he moved to this area in 1991, coming here from Stoddard, NH.  In his early adult years, he worked as a sheet metal mechanic.  He later began his second career in the insurance industry in sales for Aid Association for Lutherans.  Mr. Daniels proudly served with the Seabees in WWII, and later became an active member of the VFW Post # 15010 and the American Legion Post #58.  He was also a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Dunnellon.

Survivors include his wife Bunnie Daniels, his daughter Jae Ann Witzgall (Dennis) of Ocala, brother Robert M. Daniels, his niece Lynn Brunjes, and his two grandsons, Eric and Darryn Witzgall.  He was preceded in death by his first wife Neva Daniels, and his grandson Brent Witzgall.

Memorial services for Mr. Daniels will be held at 10 AM on Thursday, November 16, 2017, at Peace Lutheran Church, 7201 S. US Highway 41, Dunnellon, with Pastor Terry McKee officiating.  At the family’s request, in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Peace Lutheran Church.
