Geraldine M. Stephens

Mrs. Geraldine M. “Gerrie”  Stephens, 85, of Yankeetown, passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2017, at her residence.  Born in Gainesville, FL, she was a long term resident of the Inglis/Yankeetown area.  She and her husband for many years operated Stephens Grocery, known to many as “the Rock Store.”  She later worked as a clerk for the Inglis Post Office, retiring after 16 years.  She was a member of First Baptist Church of Inglis.  She is survived by her husband of 67 years, George A. Stephens, her son Dr. Gary Stephens, and her 4 grandchildren, Sara, Noah, Sophia, and Owen Stephens.  She was preceded in death by her brother Randall McCall and her sister Dorothy McCall.

She will be greatly missed.
