Giovanna "Jean" (Difronzo) Richardson

Dunnellon- Giovanna “Jean “ DiFronzo Richardson, 58, loving and devoted wife, mom, nonni, sister and dear friend died on November 4, 2018 at her residence in Dunnellon. Jean was born into this life on June 9, 1960 in Chicago, IL, and was the daughter to the late Vittorio and Angelina (Pavone) DiFronzo.

Jean dedicated more than 25 years of her life working with students and supporting the staff at Dunnellon Schools. She enjoyed spending time in the kitchen cooking and baking for family and friends. Jean appreciated calm days on the water fishing with her husband and children. Nonni, as she was called by her grandchildren, never missed an opportunity to shower them with her time and love. Jean is survived by her husband of 38 years, William Robert Richardson;  her daughters, Giovanna and her husband Francisco Zapata, Angelina and her husband John Webb; her grandchildren, Adrianna, Victor and Hector Zapata, and Henry and Marshall Webb; her brothers, Vince and Vito DiFronzo and sister, Patricia DiFronzo.

She is preceded in death by her sister, Josephine Bellisle.

In lieu of flowers, Jean’s family requests memorial donations be made in her honor to the Public Education Foundation of Marion County (Thelma Parker Center 1239 NW 4th Street ,Ocala, Florida 34475) to fund a Take Stock in Children Scholarship for a Dunnellon High School student.

There will be a Memorial Visitation on Friday, November 9, 2018 from 5-7 PM at Roberts Funeral Home in Dunnellon. A Celebration of Jean’s life will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at her residence: 9850 SE Levy County Road 337, Dunnellon, FL 34431 at 10am.
