Harlan G. Balk age 77 of Morriston, FL passed away on March 24, 2011. He was born in Iowa was a lifelong resident of Illinois before moving to St Pete Beach, FL and moved to Morriston, FL in 1994. He was a US Army Veteran during the Korean War and was a member of FTBOA and AQHA. He loved horses and his dogs. He is the loving husband of Evelyn Balk and father of Mark (Christine) Balk of Clearwater, FL, Raena Lee (Ted) Gillette of Largo, FL, Shera Lin (Mike) Denum of Quincy, IL, and Dell Ann (Jeff) Janney of Canton, MO., and has 10 grandchildren. He is the brother of Jim Balk of Fulton, IL and Steve Balk of Camp Point, IL. A memorial service will be held at the Roberts Funeral Home of Dunnellon on Tuesday at 1PM. In lieu of flowers donation may be made to the American Cancer Society.
