Harold "Gene" E. Harris

Harold  “Gene” E. Harris, 87, died on Tuesday, March 31, 2020 at his residence in Dunnellon. He was born in Gilmer County, West Virginia and was the son to the late George and Genevie (Stout) Harris. In 2014 Harold moved to Dunnellon from Chiefland, FL. After serving twenty years in the military, he retired with the United States Navy as a  Chief Petty Officer. He was of the Presbyterian faith and in his leisure time he enjoyed remodeling houses, more particularly his own. Gene will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his brother, James Robert and his sister, Isabel Dailey.

He leaves behind his wife, Corena Jean (West) Harris; his sons, Robert Harris, Harold S. Harris; his daughter, Ruth Crutchfield; his sisters, Anna Dee Davis, Betty Swadley; his eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
