Harry Reese, 80, passed away April 13, 2013, at Citrus Memorial Hospital in Inverness. He was born in Lake City, Iowa, July 12, 1932, to the late Harry and Roberta Adams Reese.

Harry resided in Citrus Springs with his wife Mary after moving to the area from Chicago 40 years ago. A retired member of the U.S. Marine Corps, he served a tour of duty in Korea and two tours in Vietnam as a gunnery sergent. On his return from military service, he and Mary settled in Chicago with Harry as a police officer for the Rock Island Rail Road. After their move to Florida, Harry became a correctional officer with the Florida Department of Corrections, from which he retired.

Survivors include his wife, Mary; his son, Brian (Nancy) Reese, Chicago, Ill.; daughter, Valerie (Tom) Farbin, Burbank, Ill.; brothers, Ken (Bonney) Reese, Silver Cliff, Wis., David Reese, Denver, Colo.; sisters, Marge Bayo, California and Betty Pacetti, Canton, Mich.; along with four grandchildren, Amanda and Brian Reese and Michael and Caitlin Farbin. He was predeceased by his brother, Les Reese.

Graveside services will take place at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, 11 a.m. Friday, April 19, 2013, with military honors by VFW Post No. 4864 and the Marine Corps Honor Guard.
