Irene C. Dennison

January 13, 1925 — July 8, 2015

Irene C. Dennison, 90, died on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at the Hospice of the Nature Coast in Lecanto, FL. She was born into this life on January 13, 1925 to the late Floyd and Margaret(Hout) Specht in Emporium, PA.

Irene moved to Dunnellon in 1995 from New Jersey. She was a parishoner of the Catholic Community of St. John the Baptist for many years until she moved to Inverness Club where she had many dear friends. She was an avid Sports Fan of the New York Yankees, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Pittsburgh Steelers. Irene was also an  Elvis Fan, enjoyed bowling, bike riding,practical jokes,  garage sale hopping and traveling with her many friends on a  tour bus to different places. Irene was just a true active fun loving senior who enjoyed life to the fullest and will  be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She preceded in death by her husband, Emil Dennison; her daughter,  Patricia Nowicki; her son, Robert Roberts; her sister, Julia Meyers and a very dear friend, Marie Hutchins.

Those left to cherish her memories are her daughters, Elaine and Suzanne Hutchins; her five grandchildren, one great granddaughter, Addison Nowicki.

Memorial Contributions can be made in Irene's memory to the Humane Society of Citrus County: 751 South  Smith Avenue, Inverness, FL 34453.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at 10:30 AM at the Catholic Community of St. John the Baptist with a public viewing held one hour prior to service time. Burial will follow at Dunnellon Memorial Gardens where she will be laid to rest by her husband Emil and daughter Patricia.
