Jack E. Collins

Dunnellon, Florida-Jack Edward Collins 83, died Sunday, March 5, 2017 at the Munroe Regional Medical Center in Ocala Florida. He leaves beyond his wife of 58 years, Mary Helen(Coates) Collins; a sister, Carol (Collins) Templeton of Terre Haute, IN; his sons, Stuart Collins of Chattanooga, TN and Phillip Collins and wife Allison (Roux) Collins who reside in St Charles, IL; six grandchildren, Spencer Collins(20), Haley Collins(18), Tyler Morgan(27), Sarah Collins(20), Justin Collins(17) and Jacob Collins(17).  Born in Chicago, IL and raised between Indianapolis and Terre Haute IN, the son of Spencer and Helen(Ayres) Collins.  Jack spent most of his career working as an educator and raising his family in the community of LaPorte, IN.  Jack received his Undergraduate degree in education from Indiana State in 1963 followed by his Masters degree from Indiana University in 1965.  Prior to his education, Jack was drafted and served in the Army as a military policeman.   In retirement, Jack loved living in Rainbow Springs where he was an avid golfer and fisherman.

He was a Godly man whose presence will be deeply missed.
