James M. Burnett

James (Jim) Morton Burnett passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2013.  He was born on June 13, 1941 in Knox County, Kentucky.
He came to Marion County 30 years ago from Louisville, Ky.  He served for three years in the US Army and spent most of his adult life working in the construction industry.  He was a partner in Burnett Brothers Concrete Construction Co. for 41 years.  He enjoyed his family, fresh water fishing, hunting and being outdoors.  He was a master story teller and enthralled many with his tales.
He was predeceased by his father, Thurman Burnett, mother, Elma Burnett and sister, Phyllis Shoulders.  He is survived by his cherished wife Gail Burnett, daughter Brenda (Gary)  Spivak , son, James M. Burnett, two brothers, John (Rosemary) Burnett and Wendell (Nancy) Burnett, a sister, Carol (John) Reventas  and two grandchildren, Jackson and ElishevaRose.
Arrangements by Roberts Funeral Home of Dunnellon.  A viewing will be held on Saturday, November 30 from 2:00 to 4:00.
