James M. Daniels, Jr.

James M. Daniels, Jr., of Dunnellon, Florida, formerly of Quakertown, Pennsylvania, died at home on January 8, 2024.

Jim was a Vietnam Era Veteran of the United States Air Force, professional musician, and luthier.  In addition to playing guitar, fiddle, and mandolin, he enjoyed fishing, reading, rescuing dogs, and raising butterflies for release.

Jim will be forever missed by his wife, Linda Marie Sheppard Daniels. He was the dad of Kristen (Blackburn) Moore, and grandfather of Abigail and Zachary, all of Holly Springs, NC.,

Jim was brother of Richard T. Daniels and brother in law of Amy Tonnessen Daniels, of Pottstown, PA.

He is also survived by his mother in law, Sally (Elberg) Sheppard, of Dunnellon, FL., many nieces and nephews, and his loyal Red Dog.

He was the father of Billy D. Daniels (MaryAnn), and grandfather of Karra and Emily Daniels, all of Calhoun County, AL.

Jim was born in Palo Alto, California to James and Betty Rose (Hanlon) Daniels, SR, who both predeceased him.

He was also predeceased by his brother, Kevin Lee Daniels, of Gilbertsville, PA., best buddy and sister in law, Sherrie (Sheppard) Drake, of Bronson, FL., and his rambunctious Silky Terrorist, Casey Ann, of wherever she chose to be.

In lieu of a service, Jim’s family and friends will create a butterfly garden at home, in his honor. Please contact Linda if you would like to be represented in Jim’s garden.
