James Arthur Travis

Mr. James A. Travis, 85, of Inglis, passed away Friday, January 8, 2016, at Shands at UF in Gainesville.  A native of Flint, Michigan, he and his wife moved to this area in 1980, coming here from Flint.  Mr. Travis was a member of the Lions Club, and served the City of Inglis for 6 years as a City Commissioner.  He was well known throughout the area as a builder and also for home repair.  His survivors include his wife Shelby, his sons Mark, David, Greg and Terry Travis, his step-children Jannee, Steven, and Darrell Cowan, 13 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.  No local services are planned at this time.
