Jane O. (Ownbey) Blair

Jane Ownbey Blair, a long-time resident of Dunnellon, FL passed away on July 30 at the age of 93. Jane received an Education degree from the University of Florida and a Library Science degree from the University of South Florida. She went on to work as a media specialist in the Pinellas County School system. Throughout her life, she remained an active member of Alpha Chi Omega’s Delta Sigma Delta Alumnae Chapter. After retiring from Education, Jane became a member of the Citrus County Board of Realtors. In her spare time, she was actively involved in the Episcopal Church. She loved gardening and golf and traveled at every available opportunity.

Jane was best known for her quick-witted humor, fierce determination and generous spirit. She is survived by her son, Robert W. Blair, Jr, his wife, Lisa, and their children, Alex and Anna. A memorial service will be held at the Episcopal Church of the Advent in Dunnellon, FL on Friday, August 25 at 10 am. The family asks that donations be made to the church in lieu of flowers.
