Jeremy “Jerry” D. Slosser died on July 20, 2025 in The Villages, FL. He was born on August 9, 1938 in Hale, Michigan and was the son to the late Earl and Thelma (Morgan) Slosser. Jerry was raised and educated in Michigan where he received his Master’s degree from Central Michigan University. Jerry entered into the career of teaching in several schools in Michigan, finishing his career in Chesterfield County, VA where he taught at Lloyd C. Bird High School. After his lengthy career, Jerry retired to The Villages.
After 86 full years of life including raising two daughters, teaching America's youth about math, computers and life, driving a bus, coaching “Battle of the Brains” and chess club, acting on stage, dancing to folk music, sharing with Recreation Leaders, golfing whenever he could make the time, playing cards, listening to classical music, painting and sketching landscapes, portraits, oceans and wildlife, writing poetry and his memoirs, leading, learning and fellowshipping with Unitarians in two states, singing in the choir, playing the piano, guitar and recently ukulele, and traveling throughout our beautiful country and abroad, Jerry has made his final journey. He will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.
Those left to cherish his memories are his former wife Marcia, daughters, Deborah Lisella and her husband, Joseph of St. Cloud, FL, Cynthia Slosser Wilson and her husband, Duane of New York City, NY; his grandchildren, Austin Lisella and his wife Julie, Cameron Lisella, Sofie Wilson and his great grandchild, Avery Lisella.
