Jerome Eugene Harris

Dunnellon- Jerry Harris, 58, died unexpectedly on August 4, 2016 in Ocala, FL. Jerry leaves behind his wife, Brenda Harris, Dunnellon; his daughter, Heather Watkins (Jim), Crystal River;  his son, Jerry Harris (Brandy), Ocala; his brother John R. Harris, Jr., Reed Springs, MO; his sisters, Marilyn Burleigh, Inglis and Annette White, Burlington, NJ; his grandchildren, Chase, Riley, Logan and Sebastian;  his nephew and nieces, Keith, Erica, Montana and Autumn; his stepchildren, Darick Moody(Shannon), Citrus Springs, Dennis Moody(Teresa), Homosassa, Darcy Brewer(Eric), Kennesaw, GA and his sister in law, Nina Harris, Dunnellon.

Jerry was born September 28, 1957 to the late John Rodman Harris and Ann Catherine (Pierznik) in Mt. Holly, NJ. He grew up in New Jersey graduating from Rancocas Valley Regional High School and thereafter married his wife Lynn and had two children whom they raised in New Jersey. In 1989 Jerry moved to Rainbow Lakes Estates in Dunnellon and in 1994 he married his present wife Brenda. He worked for Royal Oak Charcoal Company and Florida Pest Control. Jerry enjoyed watching television and playing with his pets. He will be greatly missed by all his family, friends and his neighbors.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, August 7, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Jerry’s residence, 20123 SW Cardinal Ave., Dunnellon, FL 34431.
