Mr. Jerry Blaznik, 51, of Ocala, passed away Thursday, December 17, 2015, in Tampa, FL. A native of Detroit, Michigan, he moved to this area in 1980, coming here from Detroit.
Jerry retired from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office as a Sergeant after 19 ½ years of service. He then began his second career as the owner/operator of
Tas-T-O Donuts on Silver Springs Blvd. in Ocala.
Jerry was a man of integrity that instilled his legacy upon his family and many that he touched. He was known as a man that stood for what he believed in. He’s been described as a friend, lover, fighter, cook, husband, brother, and father. He was generous, selfless, a jokester, an optimist, a protector, reliable, and extremely intelligent. He loved football, hockey, baseball, movies (especially the ones with super-heroes), and most of all, he loved his family. Jerry was the most loving husband and father a family could ever ask for. He was a good man that was loved by everyone he met.
His survivors include his wife Wendy, his daughter Kristian, his son Alexander, and his sister Brenda Collins.
A memorial service for Jerry will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, December 29, 2015, at First United Methodist Church, 1126 E. Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala.
