Joan M. Bollen
October 28, 1942 — January 21, 2017
Joan Bollen (Jo), resident of Dunnellon Florida, passed away peacefully after a valiant battle with cancer on January 21st, 2017. She is dearly missed by the love of her life, Stuart Bollen, her children Jo Herchell and David Perrott, grandchildren Scott and Nicki Herchell, and brother James Brindle (Stephanie), and their children Jay and Graham Brindle.
Joan grew up in Portsmouth, England where she excelled in athletics and developed her sense of humour and adventure. She emigrated to Canada ahead of her family and moved to Burlington, Ontario in 1965 where she proudly raised her 2 children on her own.
In 1988 she was reunited with her childhood sweetheart Stuart, and moved to California. The two of them moved from California to Delaware and then settled in Florida where she was an active member of Beta Sigma Phi, winning Woman of the Year 3 times.
Jo's infectious laughter and giggle will be missed by all who knew her. Celebration of her life will be held at Robert's Funeral Home of Dunnellon, Florida on Tuesday, January 24th from 2:00 - 3:30 pm.
