Joan A. Mccahill

Joan Alice McCahill, 75, died on June 22, 2020 at Ocala Regional Medical Center due to complications of a stroke.  She leaves behind her husband of Fifty two years, James “Skip” McCahill, Jr.; her daughter, Barbara Ann Chidsey, son-in-law John Chidsey, her grandchildren, Danny and Christopher; and her brother, Eugene Labounty.  Joan entered this earthly realm on February 19, 1945 in Manchester, CT to Delphis D. Labounty and Minerva F. Chappell. She graduated from St. Johnsbury Academy in St. Johnsbury, VT.  Joan retired from ABB in Windsor, CT and then moved to Dunnellon in 1999 to enjoy the Florida Sunshine. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother, enjoyed spending time with her family, playing golf and hosting large get togethers. Joan is going to be dearly missed by all of her family and friends as she awaits for us in her eternal home where one day we will be able to enjoy her friendship again.

Committal Services will be held at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell on Friday, July 3, 2020 at 9:30 AM.
