Joel "David" French

Joel David French, 64, died unexpectedly on Sunday, November 15, 2020 at his residence in Yankeetown, FL. David was born on October 1, 1956 in Norfolk, VA. He was the son to the late Theodore Lowell French and Carolyn Faye (Martin) French. David grew up in Dunbar, West Virginia and moved to Florida in 1975. He was a Project Manager/Estimator for Bill Gregory Excavating in Oxford, FL, and worked throughout the construction industry for most of his life. David enjoyed fishing and throwing back a few cold ones with friends or sipping on his favorite sangria. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten by all of his family and friends.

He leaves behind his sons, David and his partner Kira Rio, Orlando, FL, and Tyler French and his wife, Jenna French, Inglis, FL; his daughter, Summer French, Boise, ID; the mother of his children, Teri French, Boise, ID; his brothers, Jeffrey, Jon and his wife Alice, Jeremy Todd and his wife Milly and Jerold and his wife Laural; his sister, Jennifer French-Tracey and her husband, Jay; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Short service to be held on Friday, 11/27/20 at 1:00 PM at the rock church in Inglis, 718 Hwy. 40 West, Inglis, FL 34449.

Directly following the service, we will meet at B's Marina to have a celebration of life, 6621 Riverside Drive, Yankeetown, FL 34498.
