John "Jack" Davis

Jack Davis, beloved husband,father,grandfather and friend passed away May 14,2012.  Jack was a remarkable man of intelligence,humor and wit. Born in NY,NY. he moved to Miami in 1933.

He proudly served his country in the Navy,during the Korean conflict. An employee of Florida Power and Light for 34 years,he retired to Dunnellon, Florida in 1987. Jack enjoyed a full and active life playing golf,sailing,traveling and piloting his small plane. He was an avid reader who read 2 newspapers a day and his conversation was always lively and engaging. Our dear Jack 's sense of humor and easy-going nature will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years Ruth, his three children, Carol Davis Bullock(Ft. Lauderdale),John Davis, Daughter-in-law Kristen Davis(FT. Lauderedale) and Keith Davis(Daytona Beach);and his three grandchildren Lauren Davis-Cummings (Charleston),Garrett Davis(Delray Beach) and Austin Davis(Boston).
