John L. Fargnoli

June 3, 1951 — January 17, 2024

Dunnellon

John L. Fargnoli passed away peacefully surrounded by family at his home in Dunnellon, Florida at the age of 72.

John was born to Sam and Marie Fargnoli on June 3, 1951 in Endicott, New York, where he lived for most of his life. John learned at a young age, from his father, the importance of hard work.  He dedicated his life to his family-owned butcher shop, Butcher Boys/L&S Market. With passion and integrity, he served customers expertly cut, specialty meats over the past 50 years.

When John was not working, he was pursuing his other passions, which included Taekwondo, working on his farm, Barrel Racing, Team Penning, Sorting or enjoying time with his friends on the golf course.

John is survived by his beloved wife Jody Fargnoli, his three daughters, Desi ZuHone (Paul ZuHone), Marisa Fargnoli (Randy Hill), Julie Fargnoli (Tim Reed), his grandson Hudson ZuHone, and his sisters Teresa Michaelis (Roger & Larissa Michaelis) & Sandy Fargnoli.

Over the past year, John bravely fought his battle against cancer. Despite spending much of that time in and out of the hospital, he never lost his sense of humor or his ambition to make it back to the golf course with Jody. Throughout John’s journey, he was extremely grateful for the time it provided him to spend with family and friends. John will truly be missed by everyone who knew him.

In lieu of flowers, John would prefer that you spend time with your loved ones. And….vote for Trump.

A celebration of life will be held for John at a later date.
