John Frank Goddard, of Dunnellon, FL was gloriously received into God’s Kingdom on September 26, 2013 while under the care of Hospice of Ocala at the Legacy House.
John was born on June 7, 1941 in Eloise, Michigan. He was adopted at the age of 4 by Mark and Arleen Goddard. He attended public school in Michigan and graduated from Mackinaw High School.
He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Cuban Missile Crisis and then became a barber. He married Brenda Goddard on June 3, 1967. While raising two children, Michael and Dana, they relocated from Pinellas Park to Dunnellon in 1981.
After many years of searching for his biological family, he was thankful to have been reunited with his brother Jim Browne and sister Shirley Maday in 2002.
He leaves his loving wife, Brenda Goddard, son Michael Goddard and his wife Susan; daughter, Dana and her husband Richard Henry; five granddaughters, Kirstyn and Helena Goddard, Renee, Laura and Haley Henry; brother Jim Browne and his wife Georgia; sister Shirley Maday and her husband Rich; sister in law, Cheryl Lawson and her husband Vance, sister in law Marlene Pringle and her husband Jeff; brother in law Rev. Raymond Willis and his wife Cindy, brother in law Ronald Willis and his wife Ann and many loving nieces and nephews.
John loved his church, so his family prefers memorial contributions can be made to the building fund at the First Baptist Church of Dunnellon, FL in his memory.
