Dunnellon- John H. Morrison, Jr., 85, died suddenly on December 3, 2014 at his home in Dunnellon. He was born May 13, 1929 in Ocklawaha, FL to the late John H. Morrison, Sr. and Pearl Agnes Blair.
He grew up in Ocala and in his latter years relocated to Dunnellon in where he worked and retired as a grocer at the Jiffy Food Store which is now a-z liquors. John was of the Baptist Faith and enjoyed gardening and socializing with others. He was just a gentle loving and caring husband, father and grandfather who loved his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Ernest Wayne Morrison.
John is survived by his wife of 59yrs., Ruby Inez Morrison, Dunnellon; his children, Kirk Morrison, Pensacola, FL and Kevin Morrison, Atlanta, GA; his sisters, Frances Burton, Leesburg, FL and Joni Pearl Wright, Ocala, FL; his grandchildren, Marina, Marisa and Luna.
Memorial Services celebrating John’s life will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at 2:00 PM At Roberts Funeral Home of Dunnellon with Rev. Russ Randall officiating.
