John E. Jones

John E. Jones was born October 26th, 1945 in Ocala FL.  He was preceded in death by his mother Clara Bell Jones and father John D Jones.

He leaves behind 3 sons, Todd Stafford Jones and wife Jennifer in Ocala, Stephen Hunter Bowen and wife Christi in Ocala and Matthew Bryant in Ocala. He also leaves his beloved sister Martha Harrington and husband Tom in Miami, and 3 grandchildren Hailey Jones, Bryson Jones and Ashley Jones. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1969. John was a very successful wholesale shoe salesman for many years and even owned a shoe shop called Smith & Jones shoes in Ocala on the square.  In his later working years he proudly worked for Weeks Auction until he left this earth.

John E. Jones was deeply loved by all of his family and friends.  He had no enemies. In the course of his life he was a loving husband to two wonderful women, father of 3 sons and a great friend to all that knew him.  In lieu of flowers please send donations to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, 230 E Ohio Street, Suite 500, Chicago, IL. 60611 to hopefully bring more awareness and possibly a cure to this horrible disease that took his life.  There will be a memorial service on May 20th at 1pm at the Ocala Elks Lodge, 702 NE 25th Ave., Ocala, FL. 34470.
