John Andrew Kilgour, Jr.

Mr. John A. Kilgour, Jr., 94, of Dunnellon, passed away Saturday, March 5, 2016, at the Legacy Hospice House in Ocala.  A native of Patterson, NJ, he moved to this area 20 years ago, previously residing in New Port Richie, FL and Wadsworth, OH.  He retired from Babcock & Wilcox as an engineer in the power generation industry after a 38 year career.  He served his country in the US Navy during WWII, and was a member of First United Methodist Church in Dunnellon.  Survivors include his wife Ermalene, his son David John Kilgour (Christine), step-daughter Victoria Warner, grandchildren Jason Kilgour, Matthew Kilgour (Heather), Brian Kilgour (Kristin), Heather Kilgour, and Shawn Kilgour as well as great grandchildren Sean, Ava, Cooper, Leah, Emily, Collin, Bryson, and Crew.  He was preceded in death by his wife Hazel VanRosenburgh Kilgour and his daughter Debra Lynn Westbrook.  A memorial service will be held at 3 PM on Saturday, March 19, 2016, at Roberts Funeral Home, 19939 E. Pennsylvania Avenue, Dunnellon, FL, with Pastor Eddie Fulford officiating.   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project.
