John E, Mallon

John E. Mallon, 83, a retired banker, died on December 9, 2013 in Ocala, Florida. He was born into this life in Washington, DC to the late Thomas and Grace Mallon.

Mr. Mallon was  United States Navy Veteran serving as a Sonorman Second Class and was awarded a National Defense Medal, a Good Conduct Medal, and the Navy Occupation Service award (European CLASP).

Surviving family includes brothers Thomas A. and Joseph P. Mallon; sister Grace M. Triggs; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral mass and burial will be in Silver Spring, Maryland under the direction of the Francis J. Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard West (301-583-9500).

Local arrangements are under the care of the Roberts Funeral Home of Dunnellon (352-489-2429).
