John William Popke

John William Popke, 48, Dunnellon, FL, died Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012 at his residence.  He was born in Danbury, CT.

He loved landscaping, fishing, camping, enjoyed nature and animals of all kinds, baseball, especially the Yankees, football, WWE wrestling; he helped care for his mother-in-law and enjoyed spending time with his Family and Friends.

Services are scheduled for 11:00 am, Tuesday, Oct. 9, at The Lighthouse Baptist Church, Citrus Springs, FL with Pastor F. Jess Burton officiating.

Survivors include his wife, Susan, Dunnellon; Sons: John and Charles Popke, Bethel, CT, Paul Popke, Dunnellon, Step-Son: Justin Whipple, Ocala, FL; Parents: Paul and Yvonne Popke, Citrus Springs, FL; Brother: Tracy Alan Popke, Dewey, AZ; Sister: Cenia Montalvo, Sevierville, TN and Granddaughter: Iana Whipple, Ocala, FL.

In lieu of flowers the Family requests donations in the memory of Mr. Popke to The Lighthouse Baptist Church, 974 W.G. Martinelli Blvd, Citrus Springs, FL  34434
