Johnny Lee Howard

Johnny Lee Howard, 69, died on June 6, 2018 at Ocala Regional Medical. He was born on August 1, 1948 in Portsmouth, Ohio. Johnny was the son to Samuel and Julia (Evans) Howard. Johnny moved to Dunnellon in 2000 from North Carolina. He was a retired United States Marine Corp Veteran. He served our country proudly during the Vietnam War and continued to be of service until his retirement in 1985. Johnny was a Mason with the Dunnellon Lodge#136 , Shriner and member of the Scottish Rite. He was a talented musician playing most instruments except for the violin. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father and two brothers.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife of thirty-nine years,  Edith Howard, Dunnellon; his daughter, Angela Howard, Citrus Springs; his brothers, James Howard, Michigan and Jeffrey Howard, California; his sisters, Robin Mastronardi, Canada, Kathy Dial, Michigan, Debbie Howard, Michigan, Karen Rutkowski, Michigan and his granddaughter, Abigail Howard.

There will be a Graveside Funeral Service on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at 2:30 PM at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell with military honors.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in  Johnny’s memory to The Wounded Warrior Project. (www.woundedwarriorproject.com)
