Kenneth Louis Johnson

Kenneth Louis Johnson, 87, died on May 27, 2025 at the Malcom Randall VA Medical Center in Gainesville, FL. He was born on January 23, 1938 in Clearwater, FL and was the son to the late, Irvin and Gladys (Hines) Johnson. In 1992, Kenneth owned  and operated Johnson’s Big Oak Campground in Inglis up until the late 1990’s, when he had to sell    due to health reason. He then decided to move to Dunnellon from Pinellas County. Kenneth was a General Contractor by trade and when he moved to Dunnellon he built his own home in Citrus Springs. At one time in his life, he was a corporate pilot for a law firm. Kenneth was a United States Navy Veteran and in his leisure time, he enjoyed riding motorcycles, travelling and spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Carole Johnson in 2023 and his one brother, Curtis Johnson.

Those left to cherish his memories are his son Ryan Johnson, Dunnellon; his daughter, Serena Erwin, Ft. Lauderdale; his sister, Fran Heffron; his five grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Committal services with military honors will be held on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. The family will meet at Roberts Funeral Home the day of the service from 8:30 until 9:30 and will be forming a procession to the cemetery.
