Kenneth L. Roberts, 70, of Dunnellon (formally Miami, FL)
Peacefully passed away September 20, 2013 with his loving wife Barbara, sister-in-law Louise Scafati, and best friend Candy Craig by his side.
Ken was born November 20, 1942 to the late Dorothy (Flanagan) and
Clyde K. Roberts and proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1960-1966.
Mr. Roberts was a Union Electrician, IBEW Local 349 in Miami and taught the
apprenticeship program for the union for several years.
He is survived by his loving wife Barbara (Percilla) Roberts, son
Phillip (Yolanda) Percilla, (Miami), daughter Teresa (Craig) Foster (England,
UK), sisters Joyce (Ray) Fowler (Tennessee), Kim (Pat) Weindrop (Tennessee),
nine grandchildren, Melissa, Rachael, Jamie, Joshua, Chloe, Ashleigh, Bradley, Ryan, and Adam; three great-grandchildren, Connor, Keira, and Keziah; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, his favorite Aunt Nell (Wydick) in Texas, his BFF Candy Craig (Dunnellon) and an incredible group of in-laws and friends.
Ken loved golf, reading, going out to dinner, anything to do with technology, and,
of course, his manhattans.
The family suggests, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Ken’s name may be made to the Make-A-Wish America Foundation, 4742 N. 24th Street (Suite 400), Phoenix, AZ 85016-4862, American Heart Association, P.O. A celebration of his life is being planned for Friday (11/1/2013) 7:00 PM at Roberts Funeral Home, 19939 East Pennsylvania Avenue, Dunnellon (352-489-2429). Family and friends will visit on Friday (11/1/2013) from 5pm until to 7pm. at the funeral home.
Funeral arrangements are under the care of the Roberts Funeral Home of Dunnellon.
