It is with great sadness we announce the death of Kenneth Ray McClaren, 81, retired USAF Colonel, loving husband, father and grandfather who died on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at the Legacy House in Ocala,FL  surrounded by his loving family.
 
 
 He leaves behind his wife, Caryl McClaren, Dunnellon; his children, Mitch McClaren(Heather),Niceville, FL, Jennie Hobbs(Brian), Ooltewah, TN and Char McClaren, Largo, FL; his grandchildren, Jessica, Jefferson, Jamie, Morgan, Mariah and Macy.
 
 
 Ken was born into this life on March 23, 1935 in Mullinville, Kansas to the late Fred and Lena(Minthrope)McClaren. He served our country proudly for thirty years with the US Air Force . Ken was a Vietnam War Veteran and part of his career he was a Navigator and eventually was in charge of software development with the Air Force.   In Ken’s spare time he enjoyed woodcarving, vintage cars, gardening, walking, lathe wood turning and fixing just about anything.  “We love you and we will miss you until we meet again”.
 
 
 Funeral Services celebrating Ken’s life will be held on Monday (Today) April 11, 2016 at 2:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church in Dunnellon with Rev. Eddie Fulford and Rev. David Gill officiating. His family will be receiving relatives and friends one hour prior to service time starting at 1:00 PM at the Church. He will be laid to rest with full military honors on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at 10:00 AM at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. For those who want to be with the family in procession can meet at Roberts Funeral Home in Dunnellon on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at 8:30 AM.
