Larry Gordon Hess

Mr. Larry G. Hess, 82, of Dunnellon, passed away suddenly on Saturday, August 14, 2021.  Larry was born in Petersburg, Indiana, and he and his wife, Nancy, moved to Dunnellon in 2013, coming here from Jacksonville, FL.

Mr. Hess retired as a hospital administrator at Methodist Medical Center in Jacksonville, then became a coach at Mandarin Christian School in Jacksonville. After moving to Dunnellon, he and his wife became members of First Baptist Church of Dunnellon.  He proudly served his country in the US Army National Guard.

Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Nancy, his three sons, Larry, Jr., Stephen Andrew and Timothy, his daughter Jennifer Pugh, his sister Jackie Clayton, and several grand and great grandchildren.

A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at 2 PM on Friday, August 20, 2021, at First Baptist Church in Dunnellon.

At the family’s request, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
