On July 23, 2015 heaven gained another angel, Loraine Mae Hunt. She was born March 16, 1928 in Presque Isle, Maine. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Octavia Scott and her husband, Roger E Hunt on June 5th. They were married 67 years. We have lost the true matriarch of our family. She was the best mother, grandmother, friend, and confident. She was so brave. She returned to college when her oldest graduated high school and went on to get her teaching degree from the University of South Florida. Although she worked alongside her husband in the retail jewelry business most of her life, she also was an IRS enrolled agent and taught school in Fort Walton Beach and Ocala. Her mother was a seamstress and passed her love of fashion on to her daughter. She also had a love for gourmet cooking. She is survived by her three children, Sherrie Faunce (John), Scott (Liz) and Kelly (Robin), her two brothers Wilburn Scott and Arnold (Grace) Scott, and grandchildren, John, Shane, Aprile, Ryan, Toby, and Tim and nine great grandchildren. She loved them all equally. Loraine loved her Lord Jesus Christ and served faithfully in her church as a prayer warrior. She was also a member of the Daughter’s of the King.
The service will be held Sunday, August 2nd at 2:00 PM at Christ the King Anglican Church at 3801 N. US Highway 441 Ocala, FL 34475. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Marion County, P.O. Box 4860 Ocala, FL 34478-4860.
