Maria Gabriela (Faria) Heinitz

Maria Gabriela Heinitz, 69, died Monday (3/3/2014) at her residence in Dunnellon, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Castelo Branco, Faial, Azores (Portugal) to the late Jose and Gabriela (Bettencourt) Faria. Mrs. Heinitz was an office manager in San Jose, California and retired to Florida in 2001. She was a parishoner of Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Ocala.

Mrs. Heinitz was preceded in death by her parents and a son Robert Vargas. Surviving family includes her husband Danny Heinitz; sons Richard Vargas and Rodney Vargas; daughter Eileen VanAssen; grandchildren Brooke and Bailey Vargas, Maverick and Charli VanAssen; and brother Carl Faria.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, March 10, 2014, 8:30 AM at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 6455 SW State Road 200, Ocala (352-854-2181) following the reciting of the Rosary at 8:00 AM at the church. Interment will follow at Good Shepherd Memorial Gardens, 5050 SW 20th Street,  Ocala.

Family and friends will visit on Sunday (3/9/2014) afternoon from 2:00 to 5:00 PM at the Roberts Funeral Home, 19939 East Pennsylvania Avenue, Dunnellon (352-489-2429)

Her family would prefer that those wishing to make a contribution in memory of Maria may do so by having a Mass celebrated in her memory at either Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Ocala, FL  or Five Wounds National Church in San Jose, CA.
