Marijane Lavon (Park) Tillitson
March 14, 1931 — April 30, 2015
Marijane LaVon Tillitson, age 84 of Ocala, Florida passed away peacefully at home Thursday, April 30, 2015. Marijane was born in Elkhart, IN on March 14, 1931 to Clifford and Hazel Park. She made Northern Indiana and Mid-Michigan her home for over 50 years where she raised her children and retired from the State of Michigan.
Marijane is survived by her husband Larry Tillitson; children George Tschupp Jr, Wendy Stoner, Marcia (Larry) Markillie, Mark Tschupp; stepchildren Larry Tillitson Jr. and Casondra (Tracy) Rose; and sister Josephine Cain. She was Grandma T to 19 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, and many more who weren't hers by relation, but by love. She was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings carl, Arthur, David, Gennee, and Jim; and her grandsons Michael and Larry Jr.
Marijane was the beloved wife of Larry Tillitson whom she married in Michigan on Valentine's Day 1981. Thirty years ago they packed their belongings and drove their prized possession, a 1941 Chevy Coupe to Florida where she continued her hobbies of sewing, crocheting, crafts, bible study, teaching Sunday School, attending street rod car shows, camping, and helping to raise too many children to count.
A memorial service will be held at 1 pm on Tuesday, May 5th at Lighthouse Baptist Church 974 W. G. Martinelli Blvd, Citrus Spring, FL 34434. Flowers and donations can be sent to the church, where Larry and Marijane were two of its founding members.
