Martha J. Markham

Martha Josephine (Jean) Markham, 93, of Ocala, Florida, was received into the arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ, on February 28, 2026. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at 11AM at Riverland Baptist Church, Dunnellon, Florida. Pastor Rex Carringer will be officiating. Visitation will be held at 10 AM at the church. A private burial will follow at a later date.

Martha was born in Fonde, Kentucky on March 4, 1932. She was married to Bob Markham on December 28, 1950. They were married for 41yrs. Martha was an enthusiastic homemaker with wonderful cooking skills, and she loved to garden. Her passion was music; she loved to sing and play the piano. In her later years, it was her great delight to play at Riverland Baptist Church.

Martha is survived by her sisters, Thelma Sowders, of Dayton, Ohio, and Charlotte Walden, of Taylor, Michigan, and by her brother, Orie Lynn Jones, of Fountain Inn, South Carolina, and many family members and friends.

Martha is preceded in death by her husband, Bob, and their three sons, Steve, David, and Mark.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Riverland Baptist Church, Dunnellon, FL.
